Here at RDI, we can handle the large jobs that others can't! We have multiple large format presses that enable us to manufacture very large or very long parts - or run multiple cavities of large parts. We have a 40" X 48" hydraulic/electric press that can accommodate very thick parts and achieve 1000 Tons of clamp pressure.
We also have a very large format 4' wide X 12' long 1300 Ton steam/hydraulic press. In order to heat consistently over such large platens, this press gets its heat from two electric steam generators.
Such large parts can be a real challenge to measure and ensure proper shrink and fit. Fit test gages and check fixtures help ensure proper form and function and our on-site tooling capabilities allow us to offer large format test fixtures and fit check jigs.
